We often take sight for granted, and a result feel helpless and lost once it is gone. Envision Rutgers was founded in September 2013 to raise awareness of the importance of vision and to improve access to healthcare locally and globally. Locally, Envisionaries are trained by certified optometrists to provide free vision screenings to the underprivileged in New Brunswick, who can then receive free eye care through VisionUSA. Globally, Envision collaborates with Project Prakash to alleviate blindness in impoverished children in India and help shed light on visual and neural discoveries in science. Envision aims to screen 100 patients, fund for over 50 children, and expand its outreach to local schools by the end of May. It has many large-scale programs and events (such as Dark Dining) planned, but needs your support to carry these through. Please help bring light to those who have lost it. Thank you for your support!
